We Are The Headd-McDermott Academy Of Irish Dance.
Between Brian and Elaine they have over 25 years of teaching experience in London and during that time they have shared with their dancers the enjoyment and benefits of Irish Dancing, the friendships it forges, the discipline it imparts and, more importantly than the joy of winning; the ability to lose gracefully but with renewed determination to improve in the future through even greater application.
Brian was born in London to Irish and Spanish parents and from a very young age been involved in the Irish culture of both dance and music.
Brian enjoyed huge success during his competitive years, both at local and national level. His highlight being achieving 4th place at the World championships, along with consecutive Great Britain Championships and British National championship titles.
Nearing the end of his competitive career, Brian was called upon to audition for Michael Flatley’s show ‘Lord of the Dance’. Brian went on to perform in both ‘Lord of the Dance’ and ‘Feet of Flames’.
